Movement Medicine is an 8 month somatic facilitator training that initiates you into the EMBODYMIND philosophy, a way of teaching that goes beyond choreography and becomes medicine for the body, mind & soul. Learn how to leave your students feeling nourished, inspired & liberated. Tap into the Art Of Somatic Facilitation.

APPLY & LETS CONNECT ✨

This training is both experiential and practical:

You’ll deepen into your own embodiment while learning how to teach others through the EMBODYMIND Method. Expression through movement, Presence through breath, and ReSOULution through rhythm.

Module 1: Foundation

Root into the Bodymind & Build the Somatic Ground of Facilitation

Month 1 is where you develop the internal architecture of a Movement Medicine facilitator.
Unlike most trainings that start with technique, this experience begins with practice, embodiment, and nervous-system literacy so that your teaching, your sequencing, and your presence come from lived understanding, not memorized concepts.

You’ll spend the first month learning how to listen to the body, track sensation, attune to fascia, and understand “the story the body is telling” through shape, tone, breath, and micro-movement.
This becomes the foundation of your identity as a practitioner.

This month is both education + apprenticeship, combining theory with deep somatic practice, guided sessions, movement labs, breathwork labs, and reflection work.

What’s inside:

Polyvagal Theory for Movement & Nervous System Resolution

Learn how movement, rhythm, and breath reshape physiological states.
You’ll practice reading the nervous system in real time—your own and others’.

Fascia Foundations & The Story the Body Is Telling

Explore fascia as the body’s emotional, sensory, and structural communication system.
Understand how restriction, flow, rigidity, and vibration reveal stored patterns—and how somatic movement can unravel them safely.

History & Core Principles of Somatics (Through an Embodied Lens)

Not just learning somatics—experiencing it.
Each principle is paired with a guided movement lab so you feel the philosophies in your body.

Foundations of Somatic Breathwork (Felt Sense → Focus → Freedom)

The EMBODYMIND approach to breathwork begins with sensation, not intensity.
You’ll practice leading and experiencing breath arcs designed for nervous system stability and emotional accessibility.

Trauma-Informed Language, Working With Pendulation & Titration

Learn the mechanics of safe facilitation AND the deeper work of guiding identity expansion.
This month includes exploring the cues, narratives, and embodied identities that shape how you lead and how you move.

The Bodymind as the Blueprint for Teaching, Cueing & Class Design

Your body becomes your first instrument.
You’ll learn to cue from sensation, sequence from somatic intelligence, and design classes through the lens of nervous system pacing and fascia responsiveness.

Module 2: Form

Master the Architecture of the Body & Build the Structural Intelligence Behind Your Method

FORM is where structure & alignments reflects the truth of the moment.
In this module, you’ll learn how to understand, interpret, and guide the body through the precise lens of classical Pilates, functional anatomy, and fascia literacy, without disconnecting from sensation or overriding the body’s cues.

This is not a technical module in the traditional sense.
This is where FORM becomes a language, a way of reading the patterns, protections, and possibilities held within the bodymind.

When you understand FORM at this level, you can create movement experiences that feel safe, intelligent, transformative, and intentional.

This month blends education + applied practice, with movement labs, cueing drills, sequencing exercises, and fascia-focused embodiment work so you learn by doing, not memorizing.

What’s inside:

Joseph Pilates’ Classical Mat Order- Reimagined Through Somatics

Learn the classical repertoire, but through nervous system pacing, sensory awareness, and the EMBODYMIND Method.

Functional Anatomy & Fascia Literacy for Somatic Facilitators

Go beyond muscles.
Learn to see the fascial lines, tensions, spirals, and holding patterns that reveal how a body organizes itself.
This becomes essential for safe hands-on work and attuned cueing.

The History of Somatic Movement & How It Shapes Modern Facilitation

Understand the roots of somatic movement, from Feldenkrais to Hanna to SE, and how these principles elevate your Pilates + movement teaching into something deeper and more therapeutic.

Modern Pilates Exercises & Infusing Combinations Into Your Classes

You’ll learn when to add, when to subtract, and how to honor the bodymind in real time.
This includes fascia-oriented variations, breath-led sequencing, and transitions designed for nervous system resolution.

Movement Principles for Strength, Safety, & Embodied Alignment

Develop the skill of tracking tone, tension, breath, and micro-movements to guide students back into balanced, integrated movement patterns.

Module 3: Flow

Guide the Flow State, Unlock Somatic Creativity & Learn to Shape Energy Through Rhythm + Presence

FLOW is where movement becomes an entry point into new states of awareness, emotional regulation, creativity, and deeper embodiment.
This module teaches you how to create experiences, not just classes. Where students feel their bodies awaken, their energy shift, and their expression unlock in real time.

Unlike most movement trainings that teach sequencing as choreography, Movement Medicine teaches FLOW as energetic architecture.
You will learn to guide the nervous system into a rhythmic, coherent, deeply present state using somatic musicality, breathwork, pacing, and intuition.

FLOW is also where your voice, your message, and your energetic leadership deepen.
This is where you begin evolving from instructor → facilitator → artist of somatic experience.

What’s inside:

Flow State & Symmetry Methods for Accessing Deeper Brainwave States

Learn the science of entrainment and how rhythm, repetition, and symmetry shift the brain from thinking → sensing → expressing.

Sequencing for Energetic Endurance

Not just building a workout, building a somatic arc.
You’ll learn to pace energy, stack sensation, and design sequences that feel natural, expressive, and deeply regulating.

Sequencing from a Somatic Experiencing Perspective

Explore pendulation, titration, orienting, and guiding internal exploration through movement.
This is what creates safety, expansion, and deeper emotional access.

The Somatic Musicality Framework: Felt Sense → Focus → Freedom

This framework becomes the backbone of intuitive teaching:

  • Felt Sense: attune to rhythm in your own body

  • Focus: guide intentional movement + coherence

  • Freedom: open expression, artistry, and liberation

Voice Activation & The Art of Somatic Storytelling

Learn to use your voice to shift the room: tone, pace, breath, message, and rhythm.
This is where facilitators begin to find their unique frequency as leaders.

Intuitive & Creative Movement Exploration

Practice guiding expression, improvisation, somatic creativity, and movement play.
You’ll learn to create space that unlocks authenticity and emotional release.

Module 4: Frequency

Master Energetic Leadership, Somatic Shaking, Emotional Release & the Artistry of Breakthrough

FREQUENCY is the integration and mastery module, where everything you’ve learned becomes a powerful, embodied method of transformation.

Here you learn to track energy, guide breakthroughs, work with emotional expression, and create experiences that shift physiology, identity, and inner narrative.

This is where the facilitator becomes the artist.
Where movement, music, breath, voice, and rhythm intertwine to create healing.

FREQUENCY is also the home of your signature somatic shaking track & the peak moment of expressive release work.
These layers set Movement Medicine apart from every other movement training. Here we will explore the 5 layers of embodied expression.

What’s inside:

The Art of Class Design & Theming

Learn to build entire class arcs around frequency, intention, emotion, or somatic themes.
This is how you create meaningful, unforgettable movement journeys.

Tracking Group Energy & Guiding Collective Somatic Breakthroughs

Learn to read the room: breath, tone, micro-movements, emotional expression, and collective nervous system shifts.
You’ll practice meeting the moment with skill and attunement.

Somatic Shaking & Expressive Release (Your Signature Track)

One dedicated song in every class becomes the portal for shaking, releasing, and rhythmic opening.
You’ll learn the science, the technique, the pacing, and the music selection behind this practice.

Resolution Practices Through Rhythm & Integration

Learn how to bring the nervous system back into coherence through breath, grounding, and musical deceleration.
This is how breakthroughs become embodied instead of overwhelming.

Refinement of Voice, Tone & Facilitator Presence

You’ll refine the quality of your leadership, your timing, your tone, your language, and your energetic command.
Explore the 5 layers of embodied expression to support you messaging within the method and within your leadership.

Hands-On Support & Touch Work (Somatic & Consent-Informed)

Learn to offer physical support that respects physiology, safety, and energy.
This includes hands-on cueing, fascia support, and grounding practices. *There will be an expanded module on this at our in person retreat!

THIS FEELS SO RIGHT✨

Transformation Through Movement

Each story below reveals how the EMBODYMIND Somatic Movement Training reshaped not only how participants move, but how they live, lead, and connect.

"I’ve been taking classes with Lexi and the EMBODYMIND Method for a while now, and her work has opened me to a whole new world. I’ve strengthened my ability to tune into my nervous system and feel every cell, every emotion rise to meet my breath in ways I never have before.

Lexi’s voice is both calming and powerful - guiding you into a place of deep presence and a knowing that you can reach further into yourself. Her presence, her music, and her attunement with each person make you feel as though you’re the only one in the room. That level of care and connection is what keeps me coming back again and again, it’s truly invigorating.

The build-up and flow of her formats, paired with challenging movements and beautiful, uplifting music, always lead to a peak moment of release where we’re invited to let everything go, dance freely, and connect with the class on every level. I leave feeling more alive, more free, and more in touch with my desires and awareness of what I crave. Every class leaves me excited for the next."

Kipley

"The EMBODYMIND Method is a one-of-a-kind experience. Lexi weaves somatic awareness and breathwork into her flow, creating a space that feels incredibly grounding, intentional, and deeply restorative.

This class isn’t just about movement—it’s about reconnecting with your body in a meaningful way. Each session feels like a reset for both the nervous system and the mind. Lexi brings such presence, care, and expertise to the room, and her somatic approach invites you to slow down, notice, and move with purpose.

Rather than powering through exercises, I soften into them, feeling more connected to my body than I have in a long time. Sometimes, I arrive not knowing what will come up—and I’m surprised by how much can move through me in just one session. There are days I leave with tears in my eyes, not from pain, but from a deep release, a quiet shift, or simply the experience of being fully present in my body.

It’s not just a workout—it’s a practice of presence and self-awareness. I leave each session feeling balanced, open, and calm, with a sense of alignment that carries with me throughout the day."

Kaylana Weber

“The EMBODYMIND Method is unlike any other class I’ve experienced. The guidance is clear, encouraging, and grounded in deep knowledge. Each flow is perfectly balanced—challenging enough to activate every muscle, yet paced in a way that feels mindful and restorative.

The integration of breathwork adds a powerful dimension, helping me connect more deeply with my body and remain present throughout the entire session. I leave every class feeling lighter, stronger, and more centered. The space feels welcoming and supportive, and the EMBODYMIND Method truly shines as a practice that strengthens both body and mind. Highly recommend!”

Nature offers regulation, rhythm, and perspective — reminding us that the body already knows how to move toward balance when given space and safety.

This immersion is intentionally held away from everyday demands so you can:

✴ Drop out of urgency ✴

✴ Reconnect with intuition ✴

✴ Feel your nervous system settle ✴

✴ Let learning land at a sustainable pace ✴

Love Note

Movement has always been my way home.
Before I had the language for somatics or resolution, before I ever knew what it meant to regulate a nervous system, I found presence with my body through movement — through breath, through sweat, through physical connection.

I’ve studied movement through many lenses — Sports, Pilates, yoga, strength training, somatic experiencing. I’ve studied how to access flow states through meditation, breathowrk and the ancient rhythms of the bodymind.

Each modality revealed a different way the body desired to speak — a new dialect of wisdom that expresses itself when the foundation is firm AND when the foundation is collapsing.

Movement Medicine is where it all gets to come together.

It’s where the structure of Pilates meets the surrender of somatics.
it’s where precision & control becomes an opportunity to look behind the curtain.
Where form becomes a strength that sustains & rewires old patterns.

Every inhale, an invitation to arrive.

Every exhale, an act of release.
Every sequence, a prayer in motion.

And the music, oh the music.

The music in its most primal form, awakens the instinctive rhythms within us.
The pulse, the bass, the repetition — these elements regulate the body through entrainment, where our internal rhythms synchronize & learn how to speak.

It’s why the drum was the first healer,
why we find ourselves breathing with the beat,
why movement to music feels like coming home to something ancient.

In Movement Medicine, we move with the rhythm, in collaboration.

We listen to the body’s tempo and let the music amplify its message.

And to the facilitators —

this work calls you to become an artist of presence.
to see beyond form &  to meet the body with attunement rather than plan.

The art of facilitation is not just about guiding movement-  it’s about adapting to the bodies in the room & listening to what they’re asking for.

It’s the delicate dance between science and soul,
between guidance and surrender,
between your nervous system and theirs.

If you are called to move beyond the mat — to listen, to lead, to embody — welcome home to Movement Medicine
